Dear Sam and Wolfgang,
I fully agree with the
specifications Wolgang has made to my presentation I held in
Brussels. To the Glöckner case I spoke as president of the farmers
organisation Public Eye on Science. Our aim is to bring light in this
dark story. We tell what happens when after fieldtrials Bt corn gets
fed to cows and unexpected things shows up. Animalhealth problems,
depression in milkproduction, no clean monitoring by officials etc. As
soon as the farmer goes public, the company starts their repression
campaign on the farmer and the whole media.
Secondly i did talk about beeing
member of a group that organises a claim against the EFSA with her pro
GMO lobbywork, which brings highrisk GMO plants to market, that where
never officially testified by longterm feedingtests.
As third I am member of the SC of GM
Free World Network, which will show that coexistance is not possible.
As farmers, scientists and consumers we will take actions against the
clear worldwide contaminationstrategies of the agribusiness.

Dear friends, dear Prof. Mae Wan Ho,
I refer to my telefone talk with you
from today and to the message from GMWatch (view
http://www.gmwatch.org/archive2.asp?arcid=8040 ) saying that you kindly
have published an excellent documentation of the important and very
informative meeting at Brussel June 12th.
Infortunately, Urs Hans had very
short time for characterizing the 3 important organisations/networks he
is participating in, and thus his statement was misinterpreted by
several people in a way that they thought he would speak only from 1
organisation.
As I am participating in 2 of those organisations/networks, I feel encouraged to give you a feedback:
1) In "publiceyeonscience" I do not
participate myself; as I understood also from the important and well
known book on GMOs of Manfred Groessler/Klaus Faissner, Urs Hans
founded this organisation inspired by his experiences with BSE crisis.
Within his statement at Brussel he gave also a short input on the case
of Gloeckner/Syngenta as documentated at publiceyeonscience-site.
2) The network of "Aktion Genklage"
(i. e. approximately "action legal action against GMOs") has been
created past year. Most important promotors/actors are Christiane Luest
at Munique as coordinator, Dr. Christoph Palme from Institute for
nature protection law at Tuebingen and Werner Mueller from
Global2000/FoE-Austria.
I send the official supporters' list
as attachment, and its non-official translation into english as a
txt-file. There is an english documentation of the project at
http://www.attac.de/wtal-agrar/pptlegalaction.ppt making part of our
site http://www.attac.de/wtal-agrar/aktionen.html (infortunately, the
html text for this action is presently available only in German). As it
is a juridical project, it uses all existing juridical concepts
including coexistance idea.
3) At the moratorium workshop on
April 20th 2007 at the big conference of GMO free regions at Brussel,
the "network for a gmo-free world" has been initiated. I send you the
text of the first message as a txt-file. Steering committee members of
this network have consented to reject the coexistance idea and to
promote a ban or moratorium of GMOs. Among others, Urs Hans and I are
within this SC.
I hope, this information may help you
to correctify the documentation of the statement of Urs Hans; perhaps
Urs Hans wants soon to add some more informations.
